are 26 five-star and 43 four-star hotels in
the city, with dozens more being built or in
the planning stages. Planners are drawn by
the reasonable cost of hotel stays and

more than 84,000 rooms ranging from modest

catering to the MICE market include: Four

Pudong (555 rooms), Hilton Shanghai (769
rooms), InterContinental (422 rooms), JW
Marriott (342 rooms), Portman Ritz-Carlton
(600 rooms), Pudong Shangri-La (930 rooms)
and St. Regis (318 rooms).
