The exquisite Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh completed the first stage of a refurbishment that restored the hotel’s historic façade and added 86 new guest rooms. The phased refurbishment continues this year with remaining guest rooms and public areas. The hotel remains open during the project. Air Canada is adding flights to Rome from both Toronto and Montreal airports. Toronto/Rome service begins this month and the Montreal/Rome service will be reintroduced in June 2009. The carrier also offers connecting flights from Rome to other points in Italy including Bari, Milan, Palermo and Venice via its partner airline, Air One. Until next time Helena Miele, CITE |

| Emirates Flies A380 to Oz | |||||||

Emirates’ A380 Sydney service the first commercial flight of an A380 over the Indian Ocean. It is also a test flight for a long term green flight initiative involving the Air Navigation Service Providers of Australia, the UAE, Oman, India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives working with Emirates and other airlines to pioneer best environmental practice over the world's third-largest oceanic region. | Finnair Increasing Service Brussels | |||||||

The new flight will increase the number of Finnair's daily services between Helsinki and Brussels to four flights a day from Monday through Friday. In addition, Finnair operates two flights between Helsinki and Brussels on Saturdays and three flights on Sundays.
