The Charles, Munich's newest 5-Star, will open on 4 October. The hotel is the latest member of the Rocco Forte Collection and named for Sir Rocco forte's father, renowned hotelier Lord Charles Forte. The property is located next to Munich's Botanical Garden in the Lenbach Garten area. Like all Rocco Forte hotels, The Charles' design reflects its location with Bavarian limestone floors, ceramic artwork from Nymphenburg, original paintings by Munich's famed portrait artist, Franz von Lenbach and original work from contemporary Munich artists.
The 160-room property has 28 suites including the Presidential Suite, which can be combined with the three further suites to give reign over the entire floor and access to spectacular views of the Gardens and the city. Event rooms are linked to the ground level by a spiral staircase. There are seven event rooms, which accommodate from 12 to 220 attendees. The two level ballroom is 300 sqm/3,229 sqft and accommodates 220 attendees. The Italian restaurant Vavvero, also split over two floors, has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Botanical Gardens. Vavvero also has a private dining room, which will be perfect for smaller business events. In summer, "alfresco dining"  will be offered on the large terrace. The Charles Spa includes indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and 6 treatment rooms.

Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts opened the 5-Star Mövenpick Resort Bodrum in Turkey this summer. The resort is a member of Great Hotels of the World's niche luxury romantic and business & incentive travel collections.
